HapPhi is a collaborative project from the HapPhi AI team (see our blog post here or whitepaper here). HapPhi has created many useful interactive tools to help users understand these new concepts and get the most out of them when using other AI implementations. We are excited to provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to mine HapPhi from either your home or computer. This article provides all of the necessary instructions for mining HapPhi, regardless of whether you have GPUs or CPUs in your home or computer, and even if you don’t have one at all!

How to mine HapPhi with your computer

In order to start mining HapPhi, you’ll first need to download and install the HapPhi software. You can find the download link for the HapPhi mining software on the official mining page here. Once you have downloaded the HapPhi mining software, you’ll need to install it. Simply click “Install” and follow the on-screen instructions to get it installed on your computer. HapPhi mining requires that you have a computer with a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) in order to mine HapPhi. If you have a computer that is brand new, it is likely that it came with a GPU. In order to find out, you can simply Google your computer’s make and model to see if it has a GPU. If it does, and you want to use it to mine HapPhi, then you’re all set and ready to go! If, however, your computer does not have a GPU, you will either need to buy one or find someone who has one and can lend it to you.

Step 2: Join the HapPhi mining pool by simply creating an account

The first thing you’ll need to do is find a HapPhi mining pool from which you can mine HapPhi. The HapPhi mining pool will, in a nutshell, act as a “middleman” between you and the HapPhi blockchain. Mining pools allow you to join forces with other miners and pool your resources together in order to mine more efficiently. When you join a HapPhi mining pool, you will be required to create an account with that pool. The account creation process will differ slightly from pool to pool, but for the most part it consists of selecting a username, providing an email address, and creating a password. Once you have created your account, you will need to input your “worker name” information. The “worker name” is simply a title given to your computer when it is mining in the pool. The worker name is mostly for identification purposes, so you can tell which computers in the pool are yours.

Step 3: Start mining HapPhi!

Now that you have your account created and your worker name inputted, it’s time to start mining HapPhi! Simply click “Start mining” on the HapPhi mining pool website, and the mining process will begin. There are no guarantees when it comes to mining, but you can increase your chances of mining HapPhi successfully by increasing the amount of “workers” you have mining at one time. The more computers you have mining HapPhi at once, the more likely you are to successfully mine HapPhi. As soon as you start mining HapPhi, you will be able to see your worker(s) in the mining pool website. You can also track your mining progress and see how much HapPhi you have mined in your mining pool account. If your pool account does not have any information about your progress, then unfortunately there is nothing you can do.

Bonus points: Running a full node for better results!

Only about one-third of the HapPhi network is currently running on full nodes. Full nodes provide a crucial service to the network in terms of ensuring its integrity, reliability, and censorship resistance. If you are serious about HapPhi and want to get the most out of the experience, you should consider setting up a full node yourself. For instructions on how to set up a fully decentralized HapPhi node, check out this step-by-step guide. Once you have your node(s) running, you will be helping maintain the integrity and functionality of the HapPhi network. In return, you will receive a small reward every time a HapPhi block is mined.

Conclusion

As you can see, mining HapPhi is a straightforward process that can be done from your home computer with a GPU or from your phone with no standard GPU. Mining HapPhi is a great way to get started with the HapPhi platform, earn some HapPhi, and even earn HT if you decide to mine HapPhi as well!
